Success Express continues to introduce exciting new Independent artist to new audiences at PizzaExpress Live. Its a huge pleasure to curate four exceptional female artists in celebration of International Women’s Day. Each artist has a unique style and each will perform a song tribute to the female music icon who has help inspire, shape and influence their career.

Saara Kaldma

London based singer / songwriter Saara Kaldma is known for pouring her heart's biggest battles into groovy, and occasionally, soul wrenching songs.  Growing up in Estonia, Saara has been immersed in music for as long as she can remember. With her first solo performance at the age of 3, music spread through Saara’s soul like wildfire and has been an inseparable part of her identity ever since. Her multifaceted style draws influences from soul, disco, funk, R&B and jazz, combining them with her love of poetry and an upbringing amongst the Nordic choral and folk music.  After releasing her first single in 2020, Saara has been crafting her sound and original music. Having first showcased her music at the iconic Islington Assembly Hall in 2021, Saara held her first headline show in April 2023, at the Camden Chapel.   In July 2023, she debuted her first solo festival appearance at the ‘Black Deer Festival of Americana’ successfully packing out the Caffè Nero tent, captivating the audience throughout the soulful performance. She has since been scouted to become a member of the Sofar Sounds roster, and she is preparing for fresh releases in 2024.

Clara Moschetta

Having moved between several countries as a young child, Clara Moschetta found the stage to be an anchor for the unfamiliar settings she found herself in. A charismatic performer and theatrical in her storytelling, her music is influenced by Florence + The Machine, Regina Spektor and French icon, Edith Piaf. Her recent releases have attracted attention, in particular her captivatingly honest and vulnerable 2023 release “Fear of Flight”. Garnering ever growing praise for her raw, unapologetic and charismatic live performances, she is a unique and special artist to discover.

Jess Reid

UK-based Jessie Reid's hushed, confessional vocals and innovative, folk-influenced percussive guitar style have already drawn keen support from tastemaker press and comparisons with the likes of Lucy Rose, Memorial & Ben Howard.  New single 'Every Stranger' is an upbeat dream-folk reflection on learning to cope during tough times, with a nod to the simple harmonies of Saddle Creek’s favourite daughters Azure Ray and the stripped-back simplicity of early First Aid Kit.  With previous singles racking up over 6 million streams, support from the likes of Chris Hawkins and Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music and a regional BBC Introducing Artist of the Year accolade, 2023 kicked off with ‘A Little Closer’, the sublime duet with French-born Easymess and a long-term fixture in Spotify’s Most Beautiful Songs in the World playlist, along with sync placements on both Made In Chelsea and Love Island.

Ruby Leigh

Ruby Leigh is a 17 year old alt pop singer songwriter from Chesham near London. Currently studying music at The BRIT School in Croydon, London.Ruby has been performing regularly since she was 11 years old, garnering exceptional live experience and maturity for her young years. Ruby has performing at the Indigo O2 Arena, Pizza Express Live, Piano Smithfield and The Water Rats, and is set to release new music throughout 2024.
